Ecumenical Center and International Residence, Ann Arbor
The mission of the ECIR is to be a reconciling international, interfaith, living/learning community across the lines of religion, ethnicity and culture. It provides a variety of ministries with and for students and faculty from many nations of the world, as well as for other members of the Ann Arbor and university communities. The word 'Ecumenical' stems from the Greek word for "the whole inhabited earth". Ecumenical expresses our understanding of God's intention that the human family live together in justice, community and peace.
